    UX Designer

    Location: SJC

    Job responsibilities:

    • Conceive, design, and support the development of new experiences for Google's support users, in close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders and other designers.
    • Create user flow logic as well as screen by screen UI design. Establish user experience best practices for Authorable Workflows [guided support experience].
    • Provide UX oversight and training for team members on UI guidelines during the Authorable Workflows design process.
    • Learn & propose inputs for the tools being used and make the process around getting user experience visualizations better.
    • Create wireframes, storyboards, mockups, prototypes, and specs that effectively communicate design ideas.
    • Present, explain and advocate for design ideas in reviews.
    • Contribute to UX patterns within an evolving design system.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Strong communication and collaboration skills. Proven track record of close collaboration with teams and stakeholders.
    • Deep knowledge of interaction design, visual design and information architecture.
    • Fluency with visual and interaction design tools (Sketch, Figma)
    • Demonstrate empathy for end users, effectively resolve user needs and pain points in design solutions.
    • Strong portfolio of thoughtfully designed products.
    • Experience playing a role in lightweight prototyping and user research is considered a plus.
    • Natural communicator who can keep teams in the loop, tell compelling stories and clearly articulate design decisions.
    • Detail-oriented and organized, with strong visual design skills, layout, typography and high graphic standards.
