Staff Software Engineer, Cybersecurity (IAM - MFA)
We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to design and deliver scalable and secure enterprise authentication solutions. This role is part of the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) team within the Identity and Access Management (IAM) organization and focuses on Phishing-Resistant MFA (PR-MFA) and certificate-based authentication (CBA). You will build software and automation supporting registration, lifecycle management, and rollout, partnering across security and associate experience teams.
Responsibilities
As the Staff Software Engineer, Cybersecurity (IAM - MFA), you will have:
· Strong software engineering experience building enterprise-grade services and APIs · Solid understanding of authentication, authorization, and assurance levels · Practical experience with FIDO2 security keys/passkeys and Certificate-based authentication (CBA) using PIV / Smart Cards and X.509 certificates · Familiarity with risk-based or adaptive MFA concepts and step-up authentication flows · Experience across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android platforms · Understanding of common MFA threats (phishing, MFA fatigue) · Strong collaboration skills and desire to learn modern MFA technologies

Additional Compensation
The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

Option 1: Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or related area and 4years' experience in software engineering or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.
Option 2: 6 years' experience in software engineering or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.

Certification in Security+, GISF, CISSP, CCSP, or GSEC, Master's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity or related area and 2 years' experience leading information security or cybersecurity projects.
