Shift: 2nd Shift

Job Summary:

Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs basic to intermediate inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, and replacements following company guidelines on all Walmart equipment
  • Creates and processes work orders, assesses maintenance repair and replacement needs, identifies needed parts and possible solutions, and selects the best possible solution
  • Conducts maintenance repairs and replacements, such as repairing and replacing brake system components, replacing leaky wheel seals, and dismounting/installing tractor trailer tires
  • Communicates with individuals or groups, such as customers, suppliers, and associates, verbally and in writing
  • Completes work orders, records, logs, and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures
  • Receives fuel drops and conducts fuel sampling by monitoring the drop to ensure safety compliance
  • Collects and prepares fuel samples for analysis and shipping, and completes appropriate paperwork

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid state-issued drivers license
  • Brake inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.25
  • Vehicle Inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.19
