Technical Writer - Mobile, AL - Mobile, AL - Salary approx. $70k
Our client in Mobile, AL is a world leader in aerospace design and manufacturing company. We are working with them to find qualified technical people for Technical Writer to define, describe, and improve the industrial process based on the engineering department's documentation (including after-sales) while adhering to allocated time constraints. This is a contract position with a salary of $70k annually.
Responsibilities
Analyze and validate engineering plans
Develop, based on engineering defitions, work instructions/procedures or technical sheets
Participate in risk analysis studies
Create lists of components for assemblies or subassemblies and select necessary tools
Determine and/or validate execution times for each operation
Report and manage discrepancies between engineering definitions and production realization
Support production during initial fabrication and throughout the production cycle
Improve and/or analyze preparation files based on feedback from the workshops, clients, or proactively
Responsible for delivering a manufacturing dossier on time, consistent with the engineering requirements, client processes, and production requirements
Responsible for correcting the manufacturing dossier if discrepancies are detected to avoid production delays or product non conformities
Technical support to production and engineering, with frequent communication with operators, various departments, and clients
Report blocking points and progress on assigned activities to the manager
Specific professional knowledge
Knowledge of industrial environment
Knowledge of aerospace products, services and/or techniques related to the specific activity domain
Oran and written communication skills
Knowledge of tools and/or equipment used
Mastery of technical documentation (ability to use technical documentation)
Proficiency in office software, internal and client-specific software
Knowledge of internal and client procedures
Knowledge of technical and general English (reading, writing, speaking)
Knowledge of process modeling (PERT and GANTT)
Work Environment
The activity is carried out during regular or shift hours (2x8, 3x8)
Possibility of working in a Friday-Saturday-Sunday shift
The workstation is primarily of a tertiary nature (computer based)
Responsible for ensuring and maintaining training/qualifications related to the job
Ensure the traceability of operations performed, tools and/or products used
Adhere to hygiene, safety and working conditions regulations
