Job SummaryThe Store Manager will plan and lead the daily operations of an assigned supermarket in an ongoing effort to increase store sales and profitability.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesOversee the daily workflow of the store. Schedules and assigns staff to ensure efficient operations and optimal customer experience.Recruit, hire, and train staff.Direct and lead store department managers in the operations of each individual department.Implement discipline and termination of employees by partnering with their District Manager as needed and in accordance with policy.Duties/ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement strategies to improve customer service and experience on an ongoing basis.Ensure consistent, efficient, pleasant customer experiences; resolve any customer service issues, complaints, or requests.Continually seek and identify methods to increase store sales and profitability; make recommendations and/or implement changes as appropriate.Develop milestones and goals for employees and ensure they are met.Collaborate with corporate staff to develop and implement sales goals, marketing strategies, and promotions.Ensure physical maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and attractiveness of the store.Supervise and report all inventory numbers for store departments.Assess periodic financial reports, evaluate performance, and implement improvements and changes as required.Perform other related duties as required.Requirements / ResponsibilitiesExceptional customer service and managerial skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.Ability to understand and manage all budgets.Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or Equivalent.At least five years of experience in retail management, preferably in grocery, with increasing levels of responsibility.Physical RequirementsMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.Must be able to traverse and access all areas of the supermarket.#J-18808-Ljbffr
