Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties; may work out of a central warehouse. Uses computer system for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting. Follows shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules and requirements. Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment. (un)packs or (un)wraps items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc. Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications; logs receipt of items on system, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents; reports materials shipped and bills of lading; posts weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to destinations.
PRODUCTION SUPPORT CAREER STREAM: Provides support in manufacturing operations and/or distribution centers including assembly, machinery, processing, packaging, and/or distribution of company products. May set up and operate automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities in machines, with higher levels recommending and/or making adjustments to methods and processes. May be involved in shipping, receiving, inventory control, or storage of products in distribution centers.
DIFFERENTIATING FACTORS
Starting wage: ***/hr, based upon experience Mon through Thurs 7am-4pm (1st shift), Friday 7am-11am. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel Reliable personal transportation to/from our facility in Milwaukee, WI (near Brown Deer) History of excellent attendance including start times and no missed days. Prior Ship/receiving experience a plus. Proven track record working in a team environment 1st shift position Candidate will perform Shipping and Receiving functions in our ERP system. Responsibilities include the following: General data entry into computer system for entering quantities Receipts and shipments. Understand GDP (Good documentation practices) Good handwriting and ability to follow work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures. Specific job assignments will change periodically, depending on workflow and daily requirements. Depending on workload in shipping/receiving, may also include training in various production areas.
