The Outside Sales / Business Development Manager is responsible for selling electronic manufacturing services (EMS), printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), electronic components, power systems, and contract manufacturing solutions to businesses. Drive revenue growth through the acquisition of new customers and expansion of business with existing accounts. This role focuses on identifying qualified prospects, developing customer relationships, generating leads, negotiating contracts, and closing sales opportunities that align with Power Designers Sibex strategic objectives.
Essential duties and responsibilities include establishing and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers and prospective clients, actively prospecting, identifying, and qualifying new business opportunities within target markets, generating qualified leads, negotiating contracts, pricing agreements, and commercial terms with customers, closing new customer business and securing long-term manufacturing agreements, submitting quotations and proposals that meet company objectives and profitability requirements, collaborating with engineering and operations teams to develop quotations and pricing for complex custom electronic assemblies and manufacturing projects, selling electronic components, PCB assemblies, power systems, and contract manufacturing services to businesses, winning new part numbers, assemblies, and programs from existing customers, developing a thorough understanding of customer products, requirements, and product life cycles, meeting with prospects and customers to understand new designs and position Power Designers Sibex to win future opportunities, presenting company capabilities during customer meetings, presentations, trade shows, and business-development events, facilitating customer and prospect visits to manufacturing facilities, serving as the primary communication link between customers, prospects, and internal teams, staying informed of industry trends and technical advancements to effectively communicate product benefits and specifications to clients, and traveling as required to customer locations, prospect sites, trade shows, and company facilities.
Must have 3–5 years of experience selling contract manufacturing services, PCB assemblies, electronic components, electronic systems, or related products. Proven outside sales and business development experience.
Submit a minimum of one qualified quotation per quarter meeting the established new prospect profile. Achieve annual sales objectives, secure new contracts, and win new part numbers from existing customers.
General Safety, ESD Awareness, Product and Assembly Introduction, ISO Quality System Awareness, IPC standards, and other required company training.
Frequently sit, stand, walk, drive, and move about. Regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Must wear required ESD protective garments and safety glasses in manufacturing areas.
Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm with flexibility for networking events, meeting with clients or regional travel. (In-office & remote blend)
Competitive Pay: Full Time, Exempt, $80,000 annual salary plus commission and travel reimbursement. Health Care Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage. Paid time off and holiday pay. Full Time, Exempt.
