MRB Design Engineers - Aircraft Freighter Modification - TX - 1377
We have some long term aircraft structures design positions staring soon working on a large aircraft freighter modification project. They are seeking MRB Design engineers. Experience with previous aircraft freighter modification preferred. These are either long term contract or direct openings
An Aircraft MRB (Material Review Board) Design Engineer is responsible for resolving and providing solutions to issues related to aircraft design and manufacturing processes. The MRB Design Engineer reviews, analyzes, and approves the design of aircraft structures, systems, and components to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and customer specifications.
The key responsibilities of an Aircraft MRB Design Engineer may include:
- Reviewing and analyzing engineering data, including drawings, specifications, and test reports, to determine the root cause of issues related to aircraft design and manufacturing processes.
- Developing and implementing effective corrective actions to resolve design and manufacturing problems and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and customers, to identify and resolve issues related to aircraft design and manufacturing processes.
- Providing technical support to production and maintenance teams to ensure that aircraft are manufactured and maintained in accordance with design specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Performing engineering analyses and simulations, such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD), to evaluate the performance and reliability of aircraft structures, systems, and components.
- Preparing technical reports and documentation, including engineering change proposals, non-conformance reports, and technical instructions, to document design and manufacturing issues and corrective actions.
- Providing guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and technicians.
Requirements
To be considered for an Aircraft MRB Design Engineer role, candidates typically require a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering or a related field, as well as several years of experience in aircraft design and manufacturing processes. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are also essential for success in this role.
