Job description
CNC Machinist - Shift Lead - Weekends
Our client is a machine shop that specializes in aerospace and precision components. Currently, we are looking for an experienced machinist to act as the lead on our weekend shift. Applicants MUST be trustworthy and reliable and have a desire to lead by example.
Friday-Saturday-Sunday
Three 12-hour shifts (paid for 40 hours a week)
In addition to setting up and operating machines yourself, the lead is responsible for:
- Hosting a tie-in session with the week-day shift to establish shift objectives.
- Delegating work to 2-3 other machinists and monitoring their performance.
- Assisting other machinists as necessary to keep jobs on track.
- Performing dimensional inspections of parts to ensure conformance to drawings.
- Make minor edits to programs when necessary and document any changes made.
- Programming experience would be a plus.
- Ensure that all company procedures and safety protocols are being followed by everyone on duty.
Job Type: Full-time
$28-35 an hour
