About the Role

An established manufacturer of welding components for the automotive and industrial sectors, based in Luverne, AL, is hiring a Senior Accounting & Administration Manager. This role leads full-cycle accounting operations while overseeing HR, administration, and regulatory compliance. You will work directly with executive management and external CPA firms, auditors, and legal counsel. It is both a hands-on accounting role and a management-level position with team oversight.



Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Operations

  • Lead day-to-day accounting, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll accounting, general ledger, and operating accounts.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close, and ensure the accuracy of financial entries.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheet, P&L) and report findings to management.
  • Oversee income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax reporting.
  • Review and audit general ledger and payables; resolve billing, collection, and vendor discrepancies.

Budgeting & Financial Analysis

  • Partner with executives and department managers to build and execute the annual budget.
  • Support forecasting, analyze budget variances, and prepare reports for management review.
  • Provide financial insight to guide management decision-making.

External CPA, Tax & Audit Coordination

  • Coordinate with outside CPA firms on accounting documentation and tax filings, including federal income tax.
  • Prepare materials for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and liaise with external auditors and advisors.
  • Support compliance with applicable accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements.

HR, Administration & Compliance

  • Oversee HR and administrative functions, internal documentation, and company policies.
  • Interpret and apply company policies; ensure compliance with internal rules and applicable laws.
  • Coordinate with corporate counsel and external advisors on legal, compliance, and administrative matters.

Team Leadership & Management Support

  • Supervise accounting, administrative, and support staff; assign work, monitor quality, and ensure deadlines.
  • Hire, train, and develop staff; establish department policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Support executive leadership and cross-functional coordination across accounting, operations, HR, and administration.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including management or supervisory responsibility.
  • Hands-on experience across AR, AP, payroll, general ledger, tax reporting, and financial closing.
  • Experience coordinating with external CPA firms, auditors, tax professionals, or legal counsel.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP), internal controls, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to supervise accounting or administrative staff.
  • Korean/English bilingual (business proficiency).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with accounting systems, Microsoft Excel, and standard business software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting a US subsidiary of a foreign-headquartered (e.g., Korea-based) company.
  • CPA license.
  • ERP system experience.
