About the Role

Our client, a growing education and EdTech company, is hiring an Executive Assistant to the CEO / Chief of Staff. This is not a traditional administrative assistant position. We are looking for a hands-on, strategic partner who can quickly understand the company's direction and accelerate the many projects and business initiatives the CEO is driving. The right person is smart and proactive, able to push multiple projects forward in an organized way, with a broad perspective and genuine interest in current international affairs and social trends.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage schedules and coordinate progress for projects run with the internal development team. This is the largest part of the role: roughly ten projects run at the same time, and the work requires comfort with scientific and mathematical concepts and a feel for software development.
  • Oversee advertising and marketing execution for developed products.
  • Help operate the company's social media channels across its education brands and student exam platform (YouTube, TikTok, Reddit, Naver Blog, company blog, and others). This is channel operation; content creation is not required.
  • Manage writing and production schedules for books contracted with publishers, and take part in idea meetings.
  • Manage writing schedules for workbooks (problem sets), and take part in idea meetings.
  • Coordinate staff meetings and support the development of company vision.
  • Manage schedules for regular seminars and information sessions, and take part in idea meetings.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in operations and/or management (project coordination or operational management).
  • Business-level fluency in both English and Korean, spoken and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and keep them on schedule.
  • Comfort with scientific and mathematical concepts and working familiarity with software development processes, sufficient to coordinate closely and effectively with a technical development team.
  • A proactive, self-directed working style, with the ability to quickly grasp company direction and drive initiatives forward independently.
  • Availability to work the schedule described below (afternoon-to-evening hours, with a Saturday option).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in education or EdTech.
  • Experience operating or managing social media channels (YouTube, TikTok, Reddit, Naver Blog, etc.).
  • Strong interest in and awareness of current international affairs and broader social and cultural trends.
  • Prior experience supporting executive leadership or in a chief-of-staff capacity.
  • Experience coordinating publishing or editorial schedules.

Benefits

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual salary: $80,000 - $90,000.
  • Health insurance available.
  • 401(k) is not offered at this time.

Work Schedule

Please note: this role works a primarily afternoon-to-evening schedule, which is an important consideration before applying.

Standard schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM (dinner break 6:30 PM - 7:00 PM).

Preferred schedule:
