    PRIMARY PURPOSE:

    • Responsible for maintenance and repairs of district electrical systems
    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education and Experience:
    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited
    • Must have valid State of Texas Journeyman Electrician License
    • Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, specifications and technical Five years' commercial experience required.
    • Five years' electrical maintenance experience required
    • Must have valid Texas Driver's License and have a satisfactory driving record
    • Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills
    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
    • Must be physically able to operate a motor vehicle with or without reasonable accommodation
    • Must be able to work at heights up to 50 feet with or without reasonable accommodation
    • Must be able to work under limited supervision
    • Responsible for installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems for AISD facilities
    • Maintains assigned vehicle, equipment, and tools to ensure safe operating condition
    • Coordinates with Electrical Foremen and other trades for the purpose of completing projects and work orders
    • Inspects electrical systems and their components for the purpose of evaluating condition
    • Identify necessary repairs and recommend preventive maintenance
    • Informs personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing information for making decisions
    • Other duties as assigned
    Equipment Used:
    • All of the following associated with the electrical trade, but not limited to: power tools i.e.; drill saws, hammer drills, pneumatic and electric man lifts, scaffold ladders, basic hand tools, electronic test equipment, trenchers.
    Environment:
    • Will work in, under, around, outside of all AISD facilities
    • Work will be done within AISD zone concepts.
    • Employee will be exposed to all atmosphere found in this region of Texas.
    • Working in trenches may be required.

    Job Duties:
