Duties/Responsibilities:
May include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assist Adult Education management team in planning, and developing Integrated Education and Training programs designed to prepare students for in demand occupations for the Williamson County area by giving them the skills to pass industry recognized credentialing tests.
- Act as liaison between Community Action, Inc. and its career pathways partners including Austin Community College Continuing Ed, Rural Capital Workforce Solutions Board, Literacy Council of Williamson County, Georgetown Housing Authority, Texas State Technical College, and others in the Williamson County area for the purpose of determining employment needs and implementing IET programs based on those needs.
- Coordinate with community partners to conduct outreach activities to identify and recruit eligible individuals for career pathway services including IET programs, workplace readiness classes, employer-based classes, and other academies designed to assist students in obtaining or retaining employment.
- Promote the recruitment program among adult education staff to elicit their ideas, support, and participation in outreach efforts.
- Report outreach plan and/or progress in recruitment efforts and IET student successes at meetings when necessary.
- Determine student eligibility according to specific TWC program regulations and maintain completed participant files including evidence of eligibility, enrollment, and progress.
- Provide career counseling services to identify and accomplish long-term and short-term educational, employment, and other self-sufficiency goals. Assist students in determining strengths and supports needed to help them meet their goals.
- Serve as point of contact to give and receive referrals to and from Vocational Rehabilitation and Workforce Solutions.
- Follow up with students and collaborating partners to track progress made toward completion of set goals.
- Develop working knowledge and become a resource for financial aid systems and other supports for post-secondary transition.
- Monitor program compliance according to TWC regulations and intervene immediately if there are problems.
- Provide Adult Basic Education or ESL instruction for IET classes when appropriate. Instruction is contextualized to one of a variety of demand occupations depending on class.
- Submit all required and/or requested documentation or reports by assigned due dates.
- Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Preferred: - Masters degree in Social Work, Adult Education, or related field, and experience
- Experience working with educationally and/or economically disadvantaged adults.
- Experience in career planning or workforce development and training
Required: - Bachelors degree in related field.
- Ability to work as a team.
- Strong communication skills.
Other Requirements: - Valid Texas Driver's License -Class C
