Position Description & Details:

Mayville State University is seeking a motivated and dedicated Graduate Assistant to serve as an Assistant Volleyball Coach. This 10-month position provides hands-on coaching experience while supporting the academic and athletic mission of the university. The successful candidate will assist the head coach in all aspects of the volleyball program and contribute to a positive, competitive, and student-centered team environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in all aspects of the volleyball program
• Recruit qualified student-athletes in all aspects of the game
• Assist with daily coaching, practice planning, and player development
• Support home game operations
• Assist with film breakdown game preparation
• Build strong, positive relationships with student-athletes to enhance their collegiate experience
• Uphold and promote the academic and athletic mission of Mayville State University
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Completed Bachelor's degree
• College volleyball experience
• Strong commitment to student-athlete development, academic success, and program integrity
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Compensation

• $7,000 for the 10-month appointment (August 1 - May 31)
