    Due to the retirement of a long-term employee, stable manufacturer is recruiting an Environmental Coordinator to join their EHS team. The Environmental Coordinator will report to the EHS Manager and will be responsible for the following tasks:

    • Monitor, improve and regulate the plant's environmental and sustainability policies and processes
    • Keep updated documentation related to environmental policies and regulations
    • Responsible for site chemical management, including SDS management
    • Oversee the site recycling program
    • Create and deliver environmental and sustainability training to team members
    • Gather information in order to update material data sheets
    • Operate as and (if not already) become certified as the ISO 14001 Lead Auditor
    • Give presentations to the management team related to environmental projects
    • Monitor environmental KPIs and metrics while striving for improvement
    • Perform regular site inspections for environmental compliance
    • Maintain compliance and system management of ISO 14001 certification
    • Complete storm and wastewater inspections
    • Collect data, monitor and file reports for SARA Title III 311 and 312
    • Complete and maintain SoFi reporting
    • Perform required data entry into multiple platforms
    • Communicate with external regulatory agencies, example: EPA, city officials, etc.
    • Complete additional tasks as assigned

    Candidates must be able to communicate directly and effectively at all levels, work with minimal direction, be self-motivated, take initiative on projects, work on multiple tasks and be hands on. This position requires candidates to be on the manufacturing floor up to 20%-50% of their day. Individuals should have excellent floor communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with front line associates.     REQUIREMENTS for the Environmental Coordinator:

    • A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred, but not required
    • Depending on the highest level of completed education, a minimum of 2-5 years of similar manufacturing EHS experience with handling day-to-day environmental initiatives and willing to spend 100% of the time on environmental and sustainability functions
    • Hazardous waste management
    • Experience working within ISO 9001 environments; ISO 14001 highly preferred
    • Experience communicating with the EPA
    • Experience conducting training; environmental training is preferred
    • Microsoft Office, specifically Excel

    Skills preferred but NOT required: 1. Automotive supplier experience 2. ISO 14001 auditor training and/or certification 3. SARA reporting 4. RCRA
