Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Estimator who is eager to build a long-term career and contribute to the success of the preconstruction department.

    The Estimator in Building and Construction in South NJ will be responsible for:

    • Compute project costs by analyzing labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing
    • Prepare estimates by reviewing proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related project documents
    • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
    • Resolve estimating discrepancies through data collection and analysis
    • Present prepared estimates by assembling and summarizing numerical and descriptive information
    • Prepare conceptual, schematic, design development, and hard bid estimates
    • Review construction plans and specifications for accuracy and completeness
    • Perform quantity takeoffs and apply appropriate unit pricing
    • Analyze project risks and identify value engineering opportunities
    • Collaborate with project managers, owners, architects, and subcontractors throughout the preconstruction process
    • Assist with bid submissions and proposal preparation
    • Develop into a leadership role within the estimating and preconstruction team

    The Estimator should have:

    • 5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience
    • Experience working for a General Contractor preferred
    • Experience estimating projects valued at $5 million or greater
    • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
    • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and market pricing
    • Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
    • OSHA certification preferred
    • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
    • Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
