Full time/Part time: Part-time, no more than 19 hours a week
Temporary/Permanent: Temporary
Other Conditions: Casual Hire temporary appointment is expected to begin August 2026, or soon thereafter. Not to exceed one year.
Duties:
a. Developing a program that will be competitive in the Pacific West Conference.
b. Planning, scheduling, and conducting team practices and workouts.
c. Managing all aspects of home contests, including coordination of facilities and officials.
Responsible for ordering, keeping inventory and maintenance of uniforms, supplies, and equipment.
Responsible for field maintenance and field improvement.
Responsible for completing and submitting all required compliance forms and timely submission of CARA and recruit logs.
Know and abide by the rules, regulations and policies of the University of Hawaii, the Athletics Department, the Pacific West Conference, and the NCAA.
Perform other duties/functions as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in any field; or any equivalent combination of education and/or coaching experience provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated.
Two (2) years of experience in coaching Softball at the collegiate level.
Proficient in Google Docs, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
Ability to travel in-state and out-of-state.
Desirable Qualifications:
Prior NCAA DII coaching experience.
Experience coaching Softball at the collegiate level in an Assistant Coach position.
