Are you a skilled project manager with a passion for overseeing complex projects in the electric utility industry? Join Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) and play a pivotal role in delivering safe and reliable electric service to our customers. Based in the vibrant city of Dublin, CA, this position offers a dynamic work environment and the opportunity to make a significant impact.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and define project scope and objectives.
  • Establish and lead project teams with clear roles and responsibilities.
  • Obtain commitments on detailed work plans, including schedules, costs, and resources.
  • Track and analyze project costs, scope, and schedules.
  • Maintain project documentation and financial forecasts.
  • Manage vendor tasks and review deliverables.
  • Communicate project status to stakeholders regularly.
  • Assess project risks and develop contingency plans.
  • Implement quality standards and review project deliverables.
  • Identify and communicate lessons learned for future projects.
  • Represent PG&E to government agencies as required for assigned projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, project controls, engineering, and/or construction if internal; 4 years if external.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% to different sites with valid vehicle insurance.

Preferences

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Experience with electric substations, gas, and electric distribution and transmission projects.
  • Proficiency in Project Management tools like SAP Financials and Microsoft Project Scheduling Software.
  • Prior experience as a construction manager.
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of SAP and Excel.
