Role and Responsibilities
Full Time position supporting the TESS Task Order filling the Associate Logistics Engineer position with some travel. Duties include system engineering, hardware engineering, test and evaluation (T&E), logistics, and configuration management. The position is located onsite at NSWC PHD in Port Hueneme, CA.
Position Duties
• Either Associates degree in a technical field and minimum of 1 years experience or no degree with a minimum of 3 years technical experience supporting Navy systems experience. • Must be capable of acquiring knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and/or Computer Engineering and developing experience with technical industry and/or Navy weapons combat systems. • Must be able to obtain knowledge and experience regarding the MK 34 and MK 48 Gun Weapon Systems (GWSs) through On the Job Training (OJT). • Must be capable of supporting hardware/software testing in labs and engaging in troubleshooting when required to bring equipment back to normal operating conditions. • Must be able to initiate and develop Engineering Change Packages (ECPs) in support of engineering deficiencies, design improvements, obsolescence mitigation, and sustainment and modernization. • Must be able to develop technical documents and revisions to new and/or existing Integrated Combat Systems (ICS) technical manuals, Program Management Support (PMS) documents, ORDANCE and Tactics (ALT) instructions, engineering assessments, and evaluations as part of sustainment and modernization engineering efforts. • Must support designated team leads to develop and manage project plans, schedules, objectives, timelines, budgets, financials, risks, allocations, progress reports, corrective actions, and deliverables. • Must be capable of procedure development and validation in support of Program Command and Engineering documentation development for GWS and/or Naval Fire Control Systems (NFCS). • Must be able to support testing and validation of Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs), review of engineering and logistics reports, and evaluation of combat systems testing. • Must have strong knowledge of advanced features of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Office Products and strong technical writing skills. • Must have a valid drivers license with own transportation and able to travel. • Must be able to satisfactorily complete background check and get a government clearance. • Must be able to follow company policies and procedures. • Must be able to write, speak, and understand English and able to write clear, detailed technical monthly reports.

Mandatory Physical Requirements
• Must be capable of working aboard US Navy ships, pier side, and at-sea.
