Commercial HVAC Estimator | Direct Hire | Lancaster, PA

TradeWorX is recruiting a Commercial HVAC Estimator for a direct-hire opportunity with an established employee-owned commercial mechanical contractor in the Lancaster, PA area. This role is built for an estimator with commercial HVAC systems, commercial construction estimating, takeoffs, bid preparation, design-build, vendor pricing, and preconstruction experience.

Pay & Schedule:

• Pay: $75,000–$90,000 annually based on commercial HVAC estimating experience, software proficiency, design-build exposure, and interview
• Bonus: Sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates
• Schedule: Full-time direct-hire opportunity
• Hours: Standard business schedule expected
• Flexibility: Site visits, preconstruction meetings, and bid deadlines may require schedule flexibility

Job Duties:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial HVAC installations, renovations, and design-build projects
• Review project plans, specifications, proposals, blueprints, and scope documents
• Complete takeoffs, labor calculations, material pricing, and equipment cost reviews
• Evaluate supplier, vendor, and subcontractor pricing
• Identify scope gaps, project challenges, code considerations, and value-engineering opportunities
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, vendors, subcontractors, clients, and internal teams to support accurate bid submissions

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of commercial construction estimating experience preferred
• Strong commercial HVAC systems knowledge and understanding of mechanical construction
• Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, proposals, and scope documents
• Experience with takeoffs, bid preparation, labor/material estimates, and vendor pricing
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office
• Design-build, integrated project delivery, CAD, Revit, or project management exposure is a plus

Ideal Candidate:

• Experienced Commercial HVAC Estimator, Mechanical Estimator, or Preconstruction Estimator
• Strong with takeoffs, bids, vendor pricing, labor/material estimates, and bid deadlines
• Comfortable communicating with project managers, engineers, vendors, subcontractors, and clients
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple estimates at once
• Interested in a long-term direct-hire career path with employee-ownership potential
