Position: Summer Day Camp Instructor
Location: Multiple Locations, Tuscaloosa County
Employment Type: Seasonal, Part-Time (May 2026 - August 2026)
Reports to: Summer Day Camp Site Coordinator / Program Coordinator / Supervisor of Youth Programs

SUMMARY

Counselors are the primary caregivers for each camper. The Youth Programs Assistant I is responsible for planning, teaching, coordinating, and carrying out activities and guiding campers. The employee must administer various after-school, special events, and other activities in accordance with the policies and objectives established by the program supervisor. Staff must also relate to children from all social and economic segments of the community. Staff must understand his/her relationship to the students, Site Directors, Program Supervisor, and the public.
