We are a California based litigation firm focused exclusively on workers compensation defense. Our attorneys represent employers, carriers, and public entities across the state. With teams in both Northern and Southern California, we offer statewide coverage and flexibility in where our attorneys sit.

Our practice is built on disciplined file management, strategic case handling, and consistent client communication. We operate with a high level of accountability and expect our attorneys to move files forward with purpose. Collaboration is encouraged, but ownership of your caseload is non negotiable.

Compensation starts at 100,000 and increases based on experience and book of business. There is a structured monthly bonus program tied to performance.

Attorneys may work hybrid and in-person in the Orange, CA location. For remote consideration, candidates must reside in California and be admitted to and in good standing with the State Bar.

Job Details

Job Duties:
  • Manage full California workers' compensation defense caseload from inception through resolution.
  • Appear before the WCAB for MSCs, Status Conferences, Expedited Hearings, and Trials.
  • Take and defend depositions of applicants, physicians, and expert witnesses.
  • Draft and file Petitions, DORs, Answers, Motions, and Trial Briefs.
  • Prepare and respond to written discovery and subpoenas.
  • Develop litigation strategy and evaluate exposure.
  • Negotiate settlements including Compromise and Release and Stipulations with Request for Award.
  • Provide regular status reports and case analysis to clients.
  • Ensure compliance with California Labor Code and WCAB procedural deadlines.
  • Meet a monthly billable target of 250 hours.

What We Are Looking For
  • Minimum 3 to 5+ years of California workers' compensation experience on the defense side.
  • Experience with insurance claims, subrogation, civil litigation, or liens is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines and function effectively in a fast paced environment.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
