Workday Payroll Analyst

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and support high-volume, multi-state payroll across multiple entities
  • Manage payroll tax compliance, including multi-state withholding and filings
  • Handle state and local tax registrations and ongoing compliance monitoring
  • Support Workday payroll operations, including troubleshooting and system optimization
  • Assist with payroll system implementation, enhancements, and testing
  • Review and audit payroll data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely processing
  • Manage taxable benefits and imputed income (GTL, vehicle usage, bonuses, etc.)
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and Tax teams to resolve payroll issues quickly
  • Document processes and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of payroll experience, preferably in a multi-state, high-volume environment
  • Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll tax rules and compliance
  • Hands-on experience with Workday Payroll (required)
  • Experience with payroll tax registrations and filings
  • Understanding of taxable benefits and imputed income
  • Experience supporting or participating in payroll system implementations is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets
