We are seeking a highly technical, hands-on Workday Financials Developer/Analyst to support enterprise financial systems within a regulated environment. This role operates across a large, complex ecosystem supporting 30+ lines of business, requiring strong ownership, problem-solving, and the ability to work end-to-end across development, configuration, integrations, and production support.

Position Overview

This role is responsible for designing, building, and supporting Workday Financials solutions in a high-visibility, business-critical environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can operate independently, perform root cause analysis, and drive solutions across multiple systems and stakeholders.

You will work closely with Finance, IT, and Workday Support (Ask an Expert) while operating in an Agile environment using Jira.

Key Responsibilities

Workday Financials & Configuration

• Support and enhance Workday Financials modules including Revenue Management, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Cash Management, Customer Accounts, Contracts, and Banking
• Configure and maintain Customer Contracts, Invoices, Billing Schedules, and Revenue Recognition Schedules
• Perform hands-on Workday configuration across financial modules and business processes

Reporting & Data

• Build and maintain simple, advanced, custom, and matrix reports
• Develop complex calculated fields across business objects to support financial and operational reporting

Integrations & Technical Development

• Design, build, and support complex inbound/outbound integrations
• Work with external revenue applications that feed financial data into Workday
• Develop and troubleshoot integrations using XML, XSLT, SOAP/REST APIs, WSDL, Workday Studio, and EIB
• Demonstrate strong judgment on EIB vs. Studio use cases
• Understand and work with APIs and system-to-system integrations

Production Support & Operations

• Provide end-to-end production support, including participation in an on-call rotation (day/night coverage)
• Perform root cause analysis and drive resolution of business-critical issues
• Support a high-volume, high-impact financial system environment

Testing, Releases & Automation

• Leverage Kainos test automation for regression testing and validation
• Ensure enhancements do not impact SLAs or system stability
• Review and assess Workday bi-annual releases, recommend adoption of new features, and align with best practices
• Drive automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reliability

Security & Governance

• Manage Workday Security, including user-based and role-based security groups
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and enterprise standards

Collaboration

• Partner with 30+ business units, Finance, and technical teams
• Participate in working sessions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Operate within an Agile framework using Jira (including JQL)

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Workday Financials
• Deep expertise in Revenue Management, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Cash Management, Contracts, and Workday Security
• Advanced experience with Workday reporting and calculated fields
• Strong integration experience with XML, XSLT, SOAP/REST, WSDL, Workday Studio, and EIB
• Proven experience with API integrations and external system connectivity
• Experience with Kainos test automation
• Experience with Jira and JQL
• Strong experience with configuration, system analysis, and production support
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and independently resolve issues
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Vertex
• Exposure to Java and AWS environments
