Summary:  The WIOA Youth Career Development Counselor is responsible for providing comprehensive case management services to eligible youth/young adults aged 16 to 24, in accordance with the guidelines of the specific programs under which they enroll. This role employs a holistic approach to address participants' career goals, identify necessary services to achieve those goals, and offer mentoring, business outreach, and follow-up support aimed at fostering their success in both education and employment to ensure participants attain and maintain financial self-sufficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services, Social Work, Education, or related field; and/or equivalent combination of education/significant experience in community, human, social services, or related field.
  • Employment is contingent upon successfully completing and passing a Pre-employment Drug Screen and a Washington State Patrol Background Check and/or National Background Check, Reference Checks, and if applicable other required documents.
  • A personal vehicle is required to attend meetings/seminars in other locations and for pickup and delivery of miscellaneous documents.

Starting Wage: $23.46/Hour plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Salary Range:  $23.46 – $30.61/Hour plus a comprehensive benefits package.
