Work Arrangement: Onsite Position
Schedule: Hours will vary between10:30AM-7PM
Monday: 8 hours
Tuesday–Friday: 6 hours
Job Summary: The WIC Nutritionist plans, directs, implements, and evaluates nutrition services in the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC Program). Primary responsibilities include developing and implementing nutrition services for WIC clients; collaborating with state and community agencies; planning and delivering in-service training and education activities for WIC personnel; and maintaining professional competency and skills required for professional practice.
Specifications: Bachelor’s degree in dietetics, foods and nutrition, public health, or related area, granted by a U.S. regionally accredited college or university. Completion of a didactic program in dietetics and supervised practice program approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the American Dietetic Association and licensure in RI as a LDN is preferred. Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in public health nutrition, clinical or outpatient dietetics required.
