Briggs & Stratton is in growth mode and hiring Experienced Welders to support the production of commercial lawn mowers at their Sherrill, NY facility. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering competitive pay, consistent schedules, and long-term potential with a well-known manufacturer.

Pay Rates
1st Shift (A Shift): $23.50/hour
2nd Shift (B Shift): $23.50/hour + 8% shift differential = $25.38/hour
Available Shifts
A Shift (1st Shift)
6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Monday–Thursday
Overtime Fridays as needed
B Shift (2nd Shift)
8:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Sunday–Thursday
What You’ll Do
Perform MIG and TIG welding in all positions to ensure mechanical strength and product integrity
Set and adjust welding machine voltage and wire speed for proper fusion
Read and follow specifications, drawings, and work instructions
Maintain high standards for quality, productivity, and safety
Support a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
Qualifications
1+ year of welding experience preferred (MIG and TIG)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Self-motivated, dependable, and safety-oriented
Must meet Sapphire Recruitment employment requirements, including attendance standards
