Welder

Job Title: Fabricator / Welder II
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay: $26-28/hr.
Duration: Contract, 3+ months, with opportunity for hire 

Nesco Resource is seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder II to join a growing manufacturing team. This role is responsible for the set-up, layout, and tack-up of precision frame weldments and brackets. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working from engineering drawings and weld symbols, and the ability to produce high-quality welds that meet both structural and cosmetic standards with minimal supervision.

• Perform TIG, MIG, Stick, and torch welding on sheet metal, angle, and milled materials including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel

• Fabricate and weld high-pressure pneumatic manifolds and structural machine components

• Set up, square, and weld various component geometries

• Interpret blueprints and weld symbols, including fillet weld sizing

• Weld in both vertical and horizontal positions

• Set up welding equipment and maintain proper welding techniques

• Complete full builds of machines and components

• Meet production timelines and build schedules

• Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality

• Collaborate professionally with team members and other departments

• Support departmental goals and continuous improvement efforts

• Perform additional duties as assigned

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational training or apprenticeship preferred

• Minimum of 4 years of industrial welding experience or similar environment

• Strong knowledge of fabrication and welding techniques

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and weld symbols

• Must provide own tools

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed

• Manufacturing setting with exposure to loud noise and moving machinery

• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required

• Training will be provided upon hire
