Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder (Field Service) to join our team in Louisville, KY. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welding and fabrication work in various field settings. If you have a passion for welding and enjoy working in diverse environments, we want to hear from you!
-With this opportunity, travel time is about 30-35% of the year. Any time you are not on the road you would get in shop hours.
-Foundational mechanical repair and assembly skills are a plus but not required.
-Per Diem is given and travel pay is involved
-All travel costs are covered
-If you are interested, all information regarding the logistics will be given on your initial phone screening.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks on-site, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Collaborate with team members and clients to address project needs and resolve any issues that arise.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive relationships with clients.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational training or certification in welding preferred.
Proven experience as a welder, preferably in a field service capacity.
Strong knowledge of various welding techniques
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to travel to job sites and work in varying conditions.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
