A busy family in McLean, VA is looking for a Family Assistant to join their team. They have school-age children and a toddler, and they need a self-starter who is ready to jump in and help with whatever is needed.

This is a great opportunity for a college student, recent graduate, or someone who has a weekend availability and is passionate about childcare. You will be a key part of the family's weekend routine, helping with everything from driving kids to activities, assisting with light housework, planning outings, and preparing simple meals.

The ideal candidate is a team player and very organized with strong communication skills. If you are a positive role model who can build a genuine connection with children we would love to hear from you.

The family is open to making this either part-time or full-time depending on the candidate's schedule and preference.

Responsibilities include:

• Driving children to and from activities and appointments
• Helping with light household tasks, such as laundry and tidying up
• Assisting with homework and special projects
• Planning fun, age-appropriate activities
• Preparing simple, healthy meals and snacks for the children
• Running errands and grocery shopping

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in childcare with excellent verifiable references
• A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
• CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to get certified)
• Competent swimmer
• A roll-up your sleeves mentality and a willingness to pitch in where needed.

Schedule

• Flexibility to work Saturday and Sunday starting as early as 8:00 am with flexibility to cover date night for the parents as needed.
• Please let us know if you prefer a slightly different schedule.
• The family is willing to offer 40 hours/week if that is your preference.

Compensation

• $40-$55/hour depending on experience
• Benefits offered if the role is full-time (40 hours/week).
