Position Overview:

Sealing Technologies, a Parsons Company, is looking to hire a qualified Web Developer / Data Administrator to help design, optimize, and maintain the web-based applications and underlying database infrastructure that drive our product operations division. In this role, you will connect user-friendly front-end interfaces with robust, secure back-end data systems, ensuring reliable, real-time access to critical business information. Ultimately, this position exists to streamline internal workflows, support inventory and ERP integrations, and provide the technical foundation necessary for accurate, efficient data management across the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, code, test, and deploy functional, secure, and scalable web applications using PHP and HTML5.
  • Assist with managing existing 3rd party software and databases such as commercial inventory management systems, including system migrations and data integrity management.
  • Create intuitive, responsive front-end dashboards tailored for internal users (such as the production, procurement, growth and finance teams) to easily input, track, and retrieve critical data.
  • Architect database schemas, write complex and efficient SQL queries, and manage database indexing to ensure rapid data retrieval.
  • Implement robust security protocols to protect sensitive company data, manage role-based access controls, and safeguard against vulnerabilities.
  • Develop APIs and scripts to connect custom web applications with broader Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and inventory management systems, ensuring real-time data accuracy across departments.
  • Generate custom data reports, metrics dashboards, and automated system alerts to assist management in decision-making.
  • Work closely with cross functional program teams to gather technical requirements and translate their operational bottlenecks into software solutions.
  • Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation for codebases, system architecture, database structures, and API endpoints.
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for resolving bugs, performance issues, and data discrepancies within the web applications and databases.
  • Assist with the coding and data management of Hardware Automated Testing systems.
  • Leverage Python and Linux command-line tools to automate routine backend processes, data migrations, cron jobs, and server maintenance tasks.
  • Assist with Quality Control and Assurance around data and applications, supporting data integrity, application reliability, testing, and issue resolution for operational systems and databases used by Product Operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in Development, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in PHP and foundational web technologies, specifically HTML5.
  • Expertise in relational database management, specifically with MySQL (including database design, querying, and optimization).
  • Ability to work under compressed deadlines and multitask across various projects.
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Inventory Management Software experience
  • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite
  • U.S. Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator
  • Familiarity with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems
