Web/Content Development, Marketing and Sales - Content Writer 1

Location: Redmond, Washington (Remote)

Employment Type: Contract

Pay Rate: $30/hr

Role Overview

The VBD Portfolio Support contractor is responsible for maintaining operational excellence across the VBD content ecosystem. This role involves reviewing and updating existing VBD materials, supporting feedback loops, and ensuring documentation remains aligned with standards and current platform guidance. The position will contribute to building runbooks for key programs, with the content being developed and published in established companies.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and refresh foundational and business-process VBD assets, maintaining versioning and lifecycle signals.
• Coordinate content review cycles with owners.
• Triage incoming feedback, address updates or coordinate with owners, and track closure.
• Perform editorial and accuracy reviews, enforcing documentation standards and improving readability.
• Contribute to runbook-style documentation and maintain supporting execution materials.
• Maintain and iterate content for success programs and other initiatives once baselines are established.

Required Qualifications

• Strong content writing and editing experience.
• Background in documentation review.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, Power Platform, and Copilot Studio).
• Ability to work with business process and legacy content.
• Experience triaging and incorporating feedback.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with clear standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with runbook-style documentation.
• Experience supporting large content libraries.
• Exposure to documentation governance or quality frameworks.
• Experience navigating or publishing content in GitHub.
• A portfolio of prior work is preferred.
