The WCM Manager will lead the implementation of World Class Manufacturing practices across multiple production sites and business units within the SGP BU in North America.


The WCM Manager is responsible for leading, coaching, and advancing the deployment of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methodologies across multiple SGP sites. This role provides hands‑on, on‑site support to guide plants through their WCM journey—helping them build capability, strengthen execution, and accelerate progress toward Foundation and more advanced awards.


As a subject matter expert, the WCM Manager delivers training, coaching, and assessments on core WCM tools and methodologies—such as 5S, problem‑solving, loss analysis, Kaizen, focused improvement, and performance‑control systems—while fostering a culture of continuous improvement across operations. The role strengthens knowledge transfer by developing local WCM coordinators, supporting project leaders, and ensuring consistent use of WCM standards and best practices that span the business.


Ultimately, the WCM Manager ensures that each site has both the methodologies and the competencies needed to achieve operational excellence—driving efficiency, reducing waste, improving reliability, and strengthening engagement—while enabling sites to run their WCM systems autonomously and effectively over time.


This position will work closely with the Director of Digital Transformation to receive guidance regarding any interdependence with central Ceramics and the field in NA, as well as project scope(s), best practices and opportunities for collaboration.


Essential Functions:


+ Lead hands‑on deployment of WCM methodologies across multiple SGP sites, supporting sites directly on the shop floor to implement loss analysis, 5S, focused improvement, PCS, leader standard work, and other core pillars across multiple production sites.

+ Coach site teams and WCM leads to build capability and autonomy in executing WCM standards. Provide guidance to help sites perform effective Cost Deployment, Loss Intelligence, and/or Value Stream mapping.

+ Define Best Site Benchmarks and Business worldwide standards for key KPIs.

+ Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

+ Lead the change management in implementing the right level of operational excellence culture.

+ Develop and maintain performance metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement best practices across the organization & establish standards for other departments to follow.

+ Help creating the culture of “Operational excellence”, by fostering knowledge transfer and collaboration across teams in the different brands, sharing and celebrating successes

+ Provide support as needed to help sites build robust performance‑control system (PCS) and use KPIs/OPIs to run daily operations effectively. Facilitates key projects meetings across all levels of project stakeholders & participates in key project meetings to help define project scope and objectives

+ Follow up on the site’s Single Agenda and WCM projects. Ensure sites are correctly populating the Project Tracker with WCM savings.


Qualifications:


+ Bachelor's Degree - Science/Engineering or relevant field - required

+ Master's Degree - Business/Engineering or relevant field - required

+ 5+ years of experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement methodologies - required

+ Detailed knowledge of maintaining product traceability from raw material processing to final product firing - required

+ High level of expertise in PowerBI, QAD - required

+ Proficient in Python, Pandas, SQL, Matplotlib, Scikit-learn - preferred

+ Strong working knowledge of Office 365 tools - required

+ Working knowledge of Python, Powerquery, SQL - required

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $102,000.00 to $158,000.00 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.


In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 13% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $115,200.00 to $178,500.00 . Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
