Are you an experienced technician with a passion for problem-solving and a knack for mechanical maintenance and electrical troubleshooting? If so, we are looking for a Wastewater Service Technician to join our dynamic engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to apply your HVAC controls, chillers, air conditioning, and service skills in diverse settings. You will also have the chance to work with cooling motors, building automation, and installation processes. This position requires a dedicated professional with a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities:
1. Conducting regular inspections and maintenance of wastewater systems to ensure optimal functionality.
2. Using your expertise in mechanical maintenance and electrical troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
3. Managing HVAC controls, chillers, and air conditioning units to maintain a suitable environment.
4. Providing top-tier service by responding promptly to service calls and resolving issues to ensure minimal disruption.
5. Working with cooling motors and building automation systems, using your knowledge and skills to optimize performance.
6. Installing new equipment and systems as needed, ensuring that all installations meet the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
7. Collaborating with the engineering team to develop and implement strategies for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of wastewater services.
8. Documenting all maintenance, repair, and installation activities, ensuring that records are accurate and up-to-date.
9. Staying abreast of the latest industry developments and continually seeking to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of success.
2. Proven expertise in mechanical maintenance and electrical troubleshooting.
3. Extensive knowledge of HVAC controls, chillers, air conditioning, and service.
4. Experience working with cooling motors and building automation systems.
5. Demonstrated ability to install various types of equipment and systems, following all relevant safety and efficiency guidelines.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on identifying and resolving issues quickly and effectively.
7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear, understandable terms.
8. A commitment to providing excellent service, with a focus on meeting the needs of clients and exceeding their expectations.
9. A willingness to stay abreast of the latest industry developments and continually seek to enhance your skills and knowledge.
10. A relevant certification or degree in a related field would be an added advantage.
