Warehouse Worker

As a Warehouse Worker, you are responsible for locating, gathering, and preparing products for customer orders within a warehouse or distribution center. Must ensure accuracy in order fulfillment by verifying item quantities, types, and sizes. The Order Puller must follow established procedures to retrieve and package items for shipping or customer pick-up. 

Key Responsibilities of an Order Puller:

• Receiving and verifying pick tickets: Ensuring accuracy and completeness of orders. 
• Locating products: Utilizing technology or warehouse layout knowledge to find specific items. 
• Retrieving and picking items: Accurately selecting the correct quantity, size, and type of items according to order requirements. 
• Building and staging orders: Arranging items in containers, on pallets, or for staging areas. 
• Wrapping and preparing for shipping: Securing orders to prevent damage during transit. 
• Maintaining inventory records: Keeping track of completed orders and stock levels. 
• Operating warehouse equipment: Safely using order pickers, forklifts, or other equipment as needed. 
• Adhering to safety and quality standards: Following established procedures and protocols. 

Skills and Qualities:

• Attention to detail: Accuracy in order fulfillment is crucial.
• Physical stamina: Involves lifting, carrying, and moving around a warehouse. Must be able to lift to 30 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to follow instructions: Adhering to pick tickets, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Basic math & reading skills: Counting and verifying quantities.
• Communication skills: Communicating with colleagues and supervisors.
• Teamwork: Working collaboratively with other warehouse staff.
