Description:
The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for leading all site warehouse, distribution, and fulfillment activities to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate delivery of products to customers. This role drives operational excellence across inventory management, order fulfillment, safety, quality, and cost performance while supporting business growth and customer service objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily warehouse and distribution operations, ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-effective fulfillment of customer orders.
- Own key performance indicators including Safety, Inventory Accuracy, Order Accuracy, Productivity, and First-Pass Pick/Pack Yield.
- Analyze operational performance metrics and implement corrective actions to meet service, cost, and quality targets.
- Ensure compliance with all warehouse policies, standard operating procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on parts flow, layout optimization, space utilization, inventory control, and throughput.
- Maintain and promote a culture of safety and compliance with local regulations and company policies.
- Develop and manage operating budgets, staffing plans, and capacity forecasts to support current and future business needs.
- Partner cross-functionally with Headquarters, Quality, Engineering, Customer Service, and Finance to align warehouse operations with business objectives.
- Provide leadership and strategic direction for OEM distribution, spare parts warehousing, internal material flow, and fulfillment operations.
- Build, coach, and develop a high-performing team to improve engagement, accountability, and operational results.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
- 7+ years of experience in warehouse, distribution, or logistics operations, including leadership responsibility.
- Proven track record of improving safety, service levels, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Strong knowledge of WMS, ERP systems (SAP preferred), and performance metrics.
- Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks preferred).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
