ABOUT THE ROLE

The Warehouse Operations Helper is responsible for carrying out warehouse activities as directed including inventory movement and shipping activities. Essential Responsibilities include transferring material, picking and staging orders, shipping, receiving, some light assembly, and maintaining the warehouse.

Sturgeon Electric's Transmission and Distribution (T&D) construction division provides a full range of capabilities related to transmission, distribution, substation, and clean energy construction.

Essential Functions

Load and unload materials to and from designated storage area, such as racks, shelves, or vehicles
Execute all shipping functions including but not limited to, picking orders accurately, packaging outbound shipments
Coordinate and prepare appropriate shipping documentation, process shipping transactions

Determine warehouse/shipping moving requirements by obtaining work orders
Retrieve inventory by locating and verifying materials; stacking and securing materials on pallets; moving materials to staging area or to transportation vehicle

Complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, and staging of materials
Load and unload materials to and from designated storage area, such as racks, shelves, or vehicles
Document warehouse actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records; maintaining databases
Complete and maintain inventories
Maintain safe, secure, and healthy warehouse/shipping material handling environment by adhering to organization standards and policies
Maintain clean work environment
Assist Lead Warehouseman as required
All other duties as assigned
Regular and predictable attendance
Essential functions of this position are to be performed at a Company-designated office or field location
Understand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment
Experience with tool/material tracking databases

Preferred Education

High school diploma or GED required

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Ability to read and interpret documents such as packing lists, shipping manifests, Sales Orders, Picking Slips, and procedure manuals
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimal
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graph format
Basic proficiency with MS Office Suite
High attention to detail
Ability to problem-solve

Salary $58,000-$66,000 / year
Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
