Job Description:
As a Warehouse Manager, you’ll play a vital role in directing all activities in the facility necessary to operate and support a warehouse for maximum efficiency. The Warehouse Manager will perform a variety of management, administrative as well as physical functions to ensure the timely and accurate loading and unloading of commodities that transit the warehouse. This position will collaboratively work with the team and staff to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and controls are maintained within the warehouse and subject to continuous improvement. You will report to and work in close partnership with the local Branch Manager.
As a Warehouse Manager, you’ll play a vital role in directing all activities in the facility necessary to operate and support a warehouse for maximum efficiency. The Warehouse Manager will perform a variety of management, administrative as well as physical functions to ensure the timely and accurate loading and unloading of commodities that transit the warehouse. This position will collaboratively work with the team and staff to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and controls are maintained within the warehouse and subject to continuous improvement. You will report to and work in close partnership with the local Branch Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and improve inventory control procedures
- Meet or exceed turn goals by balancing inventory levels to ensure targeted demand is fulfilled
- Manage auditable records including but not limited to packing slips, pick lists, job close-out paperwork, warehouse safety audits, etc., ensuring documents are easily retrievable on demand
- Meet or exceeds spend targets
- Materials transfer oversight to other sites to include vendor issue resolution
- Demand planning accountability to include appropriate supply Chain interface & partnership
- Responsible for hiring, training, and performance management of team
- Maintain complete and accurate records of warehouse activities and warehouse personnel hours
- Maintain complete and accurate safety & hazmat records and comply with all appropriate standards
- Maintain maintenance compliance for forklifts and moving equipment for proper functioning and maintenance
- Streamline warehouse operating procedures by identifying and eliminating redundant processes
Job Requirements
- 3-4 years of warehouse management experience
- Inventory planning systems experience require
- Must be highly organized and process-oriented
- Possess strong problem-solving skills related to people and inventory
- Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment criminal, driving and drug screen
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- High school diploma or the equivalent
