Position Overview

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing all warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, logistics planning, and facility oversight. This role focuses on maximizing efficiency, developing team performance, and ensuring high standards of productivity, quality, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Strategy

• Oversee all warehouse functions, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, picking, packing, and material flow
• Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and output
• Monitor performance metrics and establish controls to ensure operational success
• Make sound, data-driven decisions aligned with company policies and goals

Leadership & Team Development

• Recruit, hire, and manage warehouse staff
• Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
• Manage scheduling, staffing levels, and workload distribution
• Lead performance management processes, including goal setting and development planning

Process Improvement & Compliance

• Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce costs
• Ensure compliance with company standards and operational best practices

Communication & Collaboration

• Maintain clear and consistent communication with staff and leadership
• Lead team meetings and provide regular operational updates
• Step in to support warehouse functions as needed

Qualifications

• Strong time management and multitasking capabilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems (WMS)

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of relevant warehouse management experience
• Proven experience leading teams in a fast-paced logistics or distribution environment

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Combination of office and warehouse environment
• Regular standing, walking, and use of hands for operational tasks
• Occasional balancing, reaching, and lifting as needed
• Exposure to moderate noise levels from warehouse equipment
