Job Details

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with organizational goals, workforce planning, and long-term growth.
  • Lead and mentor an HR team across functions such as talent acquisition, training and development, employee relations, and compliance.
  • Oversee recruitment for project management, field operations, administrative, and leadership roles.
  • Build and maintain competitive compensation and benefits programs.
  • Standardize HR policies, procedures, employee handbook updates, and compliance with federal/state laws (Michigan & multi-state operations as required).
  • Support leadership with succession planning, performance management, and organizational development initiatives.
  • Lead culture, retention, and employee engagement efforts across diverse teams.
  • Partner with safety leadership to support field staff, onboarding, and workforce readiness.
  • Ensure accurate HRIS data management, reporting, and documentation.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executives and employees at all levels.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 8–12+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in construction, manufacturing, skilled trades, or similar industries strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws, compliance, and workforce relations.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence at the executive level and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus.
