Job Details
We are seeking a hands-on, enterprise-level VP of FSQA to lead food safety and quality across a USDA-inspected, BRC-certified, multi-protein manufacturing network. This role requires deep operational experience in beef, pork, poultry, and fresh grind environments.
This is not a compliance‑only role. You will be accountable for regulatory excellence, pathogen control, crisis leadership, and building a food safety culture that withstands scale and pressure.
Key Responsibilities
Lead FSQA strategy across beef, pork, poultry, and grind operations
Own USDA regulatory relationships, audit readiness, and enforcement response
Ensure BRC certification across all applicable facilities
Design and execute pathogen control programs (Listeria, Salmonella, STEC)
Lead recall preparedness and real‑time crisis response
Partner with Operations to balance throughput with uncompromising food safety
Build, mentor, and scale FSQA leadership across multiple plants
Translate risk into executive‑level decision making
Required Experience (Non‑Negotiable)
15+ years in food manufacturing FSQA leadership
Direct experience with beef, pork, poultry, AND fresh grind
Leadership in USDA-inspected facilities
Senior ownership of BRC or GFSI certification
Demonstrated recall and crisis leadership
Proven ability to lead multi‑site FSQA organizations
Preferred
Multi-species facility experience
Enterprise or PE‑backed environment
History of building FSQA teams during growth or turnaround
