VP of Finance and CFO
The Arizona Humane Society is seeking a Chief Financial Officer & VP of Finance to serve as a key member of the executive leadership team to drive financial performance, technology strategy and risk management across the organization. The CFO leads our accounting, IT, and facilities, maintenance and warehouse teams to support operational efficiency and infrastructure reliability. If you have at least 7 years of experience in a financial leadership position, as well as strong knowledge or experience in non-profit accounting, we'd like to hear from you. Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA and / or MBA strongly preferred.
- At least ten years' experience in an accounting or financial management position required.
- Extensive knowledge of and proficiency with accounting principles, systems and procedures.
- Knowledgeable in non-profit accounting practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with staff and board members.
- Advanced Excel skills and other Microsoft Office applications. Proficiency with appropriate financial applications.
- Passion for providing great customer service and helping others in a highly collaborative environment.
- Detail oriented and able to balance multiple projects including construction project management.
- Knowledge of AI platforms to encourage use per company policy.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time, use hands and fingers to type and vector, handle objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. There will be occasional wet floors, animal noises, odors, and dander. Most of the time will be spent in a typical air-conditioned and heated office environment.
