About the Opportunity
A well‑established, financially strong organization is seeking a hands‑on, forward‑thinking Controller to lead accounting operations and support executive‑level financial decision‑making. This hire is critical in enabling the SVP of Finance to transition into a broader leadership role by taking full ownership of operational accounting and team management.

Key Responsibilities
1. Accounts Payable Oversight
Oversee AP processing, vendor workflows, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
2. General Ledger Management
Lead GL integrity, month‑end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement accuracy.
3. Budget Management
Own the annual budget process, collaborate with department leaders, provide ongoing variance analysis, and support strategic planning.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- B.S. in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA preferred
- Experience in a regulated or adjacent financial environment is strongly valued
- Proven supervisory experience overseeing a team of four
- Capable of operating both tactically (AP/GL) and strategically (budget ownership)
- Strong communicator with a collaborative, team‑oriented leadership style
