Voice Data Integration Design Technician Senior

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled professional excited to work on projects that drive the core of our clients’ businesses. This role involves design documentation and managing Revit BIM models in coordination with other discipline BIM leads and team members. Under the guidance of telecom discipline leads, you will have the opportunity to showcase your Revit expertise while ensuring consistency among the design staff in accordance with company and client standards. Utilizing Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD software platforms, you will create and manage content towards fully coordinated 3D models across all design disciplines, as well as create 2D construction drawings. Collaboration with other designers, discipline leads, architects, and engineers is key to turning design intent into constructable deliverables, including clash-free 3D models.

Responsibilities

• Set up and manage Revit BIM models in coordination with other discipline BIM leads and team members.
• Create and manage content towards fully coordinated 3D models across all design disciplines.
• Produce 2D construction drawings.
• Collaborate with other designers, discipline leads, architects, and engineers.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 8 years of Revit BIM design experience.
• Proficiency with NavisWorks.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in telecommunications systems design and the construction industry.
• Understanding of how codes and standards shape design decisions.
• Understanding of design and construction specifications and their function.
• Understanding of wiring/cabling connections in relation to a circuit or a link between devices and equipment.
• Experience following client design and modeling standards.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam or similar markup software.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to estimate hours required for design and modeling efforts based on provided markups and/or verbal direction requests.
• Willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 6 years of Revit MEP design experience.
• Knowledge and application of telecommunications industry association (TIA) standards.
• Knowledge and design experience of semiconductor and/or advanced facility environments.
• Knowledge and design experience with paging, intercom, and audio-visual systems.
• Knowledge and design experience with life safety and security systems, fire alarm, access control, closed-circuit television (CCTV).
• Knowledge of control systems and network components and topology.
