Position Overview

Join us in the summer of 2026 and help us continue the legacy of fostering creativity, nurturing talent, and celebrating the individual artistic journey at Interlochen. We are seeking anorganizedand dedicated Visual Arts Gallery and Presentations Coordinatorwho embodies our core values and is committed to nurturing young artists. As a Visual Arts Gallery and Presentations Coordinator, youll play a major role in managing and hosting weekly exhibition openings and receptions, assisting with installations, and working with marketing to design posters and program coverswhile fully immersing yourself in the unique environment that only a summer camp can offer.

What You Get To Do

  • Help with events and installation of exhibitions
  • Create labels for artwork
  • Patch/paint walls and pedestals
  • Shop for and prepare/displayfood for exhibitions
  • Coordinate with faculty and students to gather artwork and create promotional materials for exhibitions and lectures
  • Measure space and hang artwork

  • Prepared to live in a residence hall with a roommate.While we offer accessible housing accommodations, please note that due to the rustic nature of our camp, these options are limited.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Strong Maccomputer skills are required
  • Ability to pay careful attention to detail
  • Ability to take initiative and work well with others with an energetic and positive attitude
  • Interest in and respect for artists and artworks
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for movement of pedestals
  • Ability to use tools and stepladders
  • Ability to manage stress, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities and commitments
  • Ability to work as a part of a team and manage self in a dynamic environment
  • Previous gallery experience preferred
