Duties:
* Maintains system operations by monitoring, evaluating, and adjusting user authentication, permissions, and name records for internal and external systems.
* Resolves problems by determining cause and possible solutions; assisting end-user and/or technical support staff, and collaborating with other Administrators.
* Determines hardware configuration by studying, analyzing, and evaluating system factors, such as number of users, reporting requirements, volume of transactions, access restrictions, cost constraints, and security conditions.
* Supports help desk staff by resolving trouble tickets; confirming fix with end-users and/or help desk staff; eliminating problem repeatability.
* Supports systems administration staff by creating, debugging, and documenting programs and scripts for project-based tasks.
* Maintains platform security, reliability, and availability by creating, implementing, and enforcing security policies; maintaining disaster prevention and recovery procedures.
* Maintains system administration records by documenting service requests and problem resolutions; recording procedures for future resolution.
* Maintains quality standards by following and enforcing handbook procedures.
* Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
