Vice President of Technology
Location: Hybrid – Tampa Bay Area
Compensation: Up to $250,000 + Bonus

About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Vice President of Technology to lead strategic initiatives that modernize infrastructure and business applications while driving operational excellence. This executive role requires a proven leader with financial services experience and a passion for innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute long-term infrastructure and application modernization strategies aligned with organizational growth.
- Collaborate with senior business leaders to translate priorities into scalable, future-ready technology solutions.
- Advance operational excellence through standardization, automation, and proactive capacity planning.
Infrastructure Oversight
- Direct architecture, deployment, and management of on-premises, colocation, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Ensure reliability, resilience, and high performance of core systems and networks.
- Oversee disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and data center operations.
Business Applications Management
- Manage vendor-supported applications, including core banking, LOS, and CRM platforms.
- Lead vendor relationships, contract negotiations, SLAs, and integration strategies.
- Partner with business units to optimize workflows and drive automation.
Collaboration & Governance
- Align with Cybersecurity leadership on security controls and risk mitigation.
- Coordinate with Technical Support and Facilities teams for consistent branch operations.
- Contribute to enterprise architecture, data strategy, and AI modernization efforts.
Operational Management
- Establish KPIs and dashboards to monitor system uptime and application health.
- Mentor and develop infrastructure and application teams, fostering innovation and accountability.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning for technology initiatives.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership in IT infrastructure, enterprise applications, or technology operations.
- Financial services or credit union experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (NCUA, FFIEC, GLBA, SOC 2) and vendor due diligence.
- Proven success with cloud migrations, SaaS implementations, and modernization initiatives.
Certifications
- ITIL, PMP, CISSP, or Azure Solutions Architect highly desirable.
- Project management certification or equivalent experience managing enterprise-level projects.
