Location: Westchester, NY (Hybrid | 3 days onsite)
Compensation: $130,000 – $170,000 + strong benefits

Role Overview
The VP, Consumer Lending provides strategic and operational leadership for all consumer lending activities. This role is responsible for driving loan growth, improving efficiency through automation, strengthening credit administration, and delivering an exceptional member experience.
The ideal candidate brings both strategic vision and hands-on leadership, with the ability to modernize lending operations while developing high-performing teams.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and continuously improve consumer lending processes, identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities for automation and efficiency
- Drive loan growth by aligning objectives, opportunities, and resources across all consumer lending channels
- Provide leadership across consumer loan acquisition sources, including direct, indirect, credit card, and emerging channels
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support enterprise-wide goals and member acquisition strategies
- Oversee credit administration, underwriting standards, and consistent risk management practices
- Develop and execute strategies to acquire, develop, and retain productive lending relationships
- Mentor and develop lending leadership and staff, fostering strong critical thinking and decision-making
- Ensure productivity, service quality, and performance standards are consistently met
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to executive leadership on consumer lending trends and opportunities
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in consumer lending, including leadership responsibility
- Experience working for credit union with automotive lending expertise
- Proven ability to develop and execute dynamic lending strategies
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills with a track record of developing talent
- Analytical and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to identify and resolve operational and management challenges
- Experience driving change, process improvement, and automation initiatives
