As a Veterinary Assistant, you will support our veterinarians and technicians in delivering top-tier medical care. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on patient care, building relationships with clients, and being an essential part of a veterinary team.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Assist veterinarians and technicians with exams, treatments, and procedures
- Safely restrain animals during exams and treatments
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain cleanliness throughout the hospital
- Handle and care for hospitalized patients (feeding, walking, monitoring)
- Collect samples (urine, fecal, etc.) and assist with basic lab tasks
- Support client communication and provide compassionate care instructions
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Assist with inventory, stocking, and general clinic organization
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting preferred
- Passion for animal health and welfare
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable handling dogs, cats, and other small animals
- Willingness to learn and grow within the veterinary field
