Role Overview
The Venture Capital Analyst Intern role provides hands-on exposure to early-stage investing. Interns support investment teams with startup research, deal sourcing assistance, market analysis, and portfolio tracking, while learning how venture capital firms evaluate and support high-growth companies.
This role is ideal for students or recent graduates exploring careers in venture capital, startups, private equity, or growth investing.
Key Responsibilities
Research early-stage startups and assist with inbound and outbound deal sourcing
Support initial screening of founders, products, markets, and business models
Assist with due diligence tasks, including market research and competitive analysis
Help build simple financial models, cap tables, and market maps
Track deal flow and maintain CRM or pipeline databases
Monitor portfolio company updates and assist with KPI tracking
Support preparation of internal summaries, pitch notes, and investment materials
Attend demo days, pitch events, and startup ecosystem sessions when available
Conduct research on emerging technologies, sectors, and venture trends
Assist with general investment team projects and ad hoc analysis
Ideal Candidate Profile
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, finance, economics, engineering, computer science, or a related field
Strong interest in startups, entrepreneurship, and venture capital
Prior internship or academic exposure to finance, consulting, startups, or investing is a plus
Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills
Clear written and verbal communication abilities
Curious, proactive, and eager to learn
Comfortable working in fast-paced, early-stage environments
